The Winter Holiday Season in the US has officially begun. In-store and online shopping have increased. I hope you had great success with your Black Friday, Small Business, and Cyber Monday offers. We're launching a new course, "Unlock the Power of Podcasting."
On the personal side, there will be travelling, laughing, good food, good times, and sadness as we remember our loved ones who have passed. I am praying for you for peace during this time of year. I offer empathy as both my parents have passed, and others who paved the way in my lineage. If you are able, get out and visit those in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. Don't forget the food pantries and other non-profits that need volunteers and donations. Be safe, patient, and spread love.

Tech and Marketing Tips: It is Officially the US Holiday Season
|
My tip this week focuses on protecting your time and money. We all get busy this time of year, brushing up on skills, bolstering our offerings, preparing for vacations, and seeking much-needed respite.
I recently posted on LinkedIn about receiving a spoofing call from a criminal organization claiming to be checking for suspicious activity on my CitiBank credit card. As usual, I was multitasking and immediately checked my account and blocked it. I contacted Citibank and provided the phone number so they could investigate. I got away unharmed, but it could just as easily have gone the other way, as it has for so many unsuspecting seniors and distracted people of all ages. There is a Bible verse, 1 Peter 5:8, that reminds me of this, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." New King James Version. Or this one in the Amplified version, which is expansive, "Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour."
