Alt text, image file names, podcast visibility, and a reminder that human connection still matters in the AI era.

Hello Friends,
This issue is a reminder that some of the most valuable marketing improvements are not always loud, flashy, or complicated. Sometimes, they are the quiet details that make your content easier to understand, easier to find, and easier to connect with.
That is especially true when we consider the images, files, links, and stories we use across our websites, newsletters, social media posts, podcasts, and other digital platforms. A simple image file name can help search engines understand your content, but it can also help you find that same image later when you need it for a post, presentation, media kit, or future campaign. Alt text can support accessibility while also helping your audience experience the meaning of an image, even when they cannot see it.
This is where technology and humanity meet. Smart digital habits help us become more organized and visible, but the real goal is still connection. We are not just uploading files, naming images, posting graphics, or publishing episodes. We are creating pathways for people to find us, understand us, trust us, and remember us.
That theme also carries into this week’s Tech Diva Biz Talks spotlight with Drew Thompson. Our conversation touches on AI, humor, hustle culture, and the value of staying human in a world that often rewards speed over presence. It is a timely reminder that strategy matters, but so does the way we show up.

Alt Text Is for People. File Names Are for Search.
|
As visual content becomes a bigger part of how we market, share, and teach online, it is important to make sure our images are not only attractive but also accessible and searchable. Two simple details can make a big difference: the alt text you write for people using screen readers and the file name you choose before uploading an image. They work together, but they do not serve the same purpose.
Alt text should describe the purpose of the image, not every pixel. Write it for accessibility first, clarity second, and search third. A person using a screen reader should understand what matters about the image in context.
For a quote graphic, a simple formula works beautifully:
Alt text formula:
`[Type of image] of [person/subject] with the quote: “[quote text]”`
Example:
Black-and-white portrait of Audrey M. Wiggins with the quote: “Technology should serve your purpose, not replace your presence.”
Your image file name has a different job. That is where you can be more search-friendly and organized. For example, a Thursday Thoughts image can include alt text for accessibility and a search-friendly filename for easy reuse.
File name formula:
`audrey-wiggins-thursday-thought-[main-key-phrase].png`
Example:
`audrey-wiggins-thursday-thought-technology-should-serve-your-purpose-not-replace-your-presence.png`
|
Example Thursday Thoughts image with alt text and a search-friendly file name.

|
Clean image file names do more than support SEO. They also help you find your own images later. When your files are named clearly, you are not digging through `IMG_4488.png`, `final-final-2.png`, or mystery downloads. You can search your computer, cloud drive, website media library, or design folder and quickly find the exact image you need for a future post, newsletter, presentation, or media kit.
Accessible images help people. Clear image names help search. Use both because good marketing should be smart, human, organized, and easy to find.
Special thanks to John DeMato for the brand photos featured in Tech-Tuned Marketing. They also continue to give my Thursday Thoughts series a strong, consistent visual presence while strengthening the broader brand ecosystem I am building.

"Drew Thompson on AI, Humor, Hustle Culture, and the Human Connection"
What if the secret to thriving in the AI era isn't working harder, but laughing more?
In this episode of Tech Diva Biz Talks, I sit down with AI strategist, keynote speaker, and former advertising agency owner Drew Thompson for a conversation that goes far beyond prompts and productivity hacks.
Drew shares how lessons from his childhood acting career, his mother's remarkable resilience through illness, and years spent coaching high performers shaped his belief that success doesn't have to come at the cost of burnout. We explore why hustle culture may be holding entrepreneurs back, how AI can become a judgment-free thought partner, and why human connection will become even more valuable as technology continues to evolve.
You'll discover practical ways to use AI and learn Drew's approach to scaling without exhaustion, and hear why he believes emotional intelligence, not technology, will be the ultimate competitive advantage in the years ahead.
If you've ever felt stuck on the hamster wheel of doing more, this conversation may give you the permission you've been waiting for: permission to pause, rethink, laugh, and move forward differently.
