"Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life."

The Scriptures command the believer to work and provide for his own. Depending upon the government to sustain you is one of the root causes of the present economic chaos in this world. However, there is a greater work than that which supplies our earthly needs. Jesus said, "This is the work of God that you believe in Him whom He has sent." Saving faith goes beyond the moment of salvation to trusting Christ for what we do and face in this present life. To study your Bible, pray, share Christ personally with others, and discipline and instruct your children in the ways of the Lord are just a few examples of the work of God that all of us can do by faith. After all, Jesus will come quickly, and His reward will be with Him, to render to every man according to what he has done. May we all be busy in the eternal work of God. Be encouraged!
