"For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly."
-Romans 5:6
I am writing this devotional on the day of the election, so I do not know the final outcome. Will God answer my prayers the way I want them answered? Will He move the nation towards repentance or let it wallow in its sin even more? Will it be a victory for the sanctity of life or even greater legality to sacrifice the unborn to the idol of self? Will the results of the election be settled this week? Will we have weeks or months of protests, debate and lawsuits? To all of the above, I do not know. But this I know beyond the shadow of a doubt:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea;
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
Be encouraged!
