"...and the rock was Christ."

-1 Corinthians 10:4

Last Friday evening, it was warm and balmy, nearly 70 degrees, but you could sense change was coming. A few hours later, when morning arrived, it was 33 degrees with sleet and snow. While there is nothing new under the sun, everything on earth is subject to change. The weather changes; it always has. Governments, institutions and people change. Some see that others need to change, not realizing their own need to change. Some believe a change of spouse, occupation, or location is what is necessary. In reality, all that is needed is the One who changes not. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the rock of our salvation. We say with the psalmist, “O, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer… The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge…" The Lord "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever." There is not one moment that the Lord does not love us, care for us, and want what is best for us. And we are not talking about all the world has to offer. We are talking about a wonderful, day by day relationship and walk with Him. Be encouraged!
