“...because greater is He who is in you than He who is in the world.”
-1 John 4:4
Last week the nation that is now considered America's greatest enemy was responsible for a surveillance balloon traveling across the United States. As our enemy, China no doubt wants to know all that it can learn about us, especially our weaknesses. As believers, our great enemy is the devil. He is the deceiver, the tempter, and our accuser before God. Knowing our weakness, he easily deceives and tempts us, and when he succeeds, he makes accusations against us. The balloon was shot out of the air and immediately disabled as it fell to the sea. Satan, on the other hand, although defeated by Christ on the cross, keeps firing his "flaming missiles" and will do so all the way to the "lake of fire." Some of those missiles are quite obvious, like the reported demonic-inspired musical performed at the Grammys this week. Others are very subtle mixtures of truth and error, like, "Jesus Calling" and "The Chosen." Yes, Satan is the God of this world, but you do not have to yield to the deception and temptation he brings your way. For it is written, "greater is He (the Lord Jesus Christ) who is in you than he (Satan) who is in the world.” Be encouraged!
