People often say they are blessed because they have money, possessions, a good career, a good marriage and much more. Truly, to have any of those is a blessing, but as Christians, this does not make us any different from a lot of people who do not know the Lord. According to the Scriptures, God has given manifold blessings to those who trust in Him. We can know by faith that Christ died for our sins and we are forgiven of our sins. We are blessed with the spiritual power to have victory over sin. We have His promise that someday we will be conformed to the image of Christ the Lord. We have an inheritance reserved for us in heaven that will not fade away. Our hope is beyond this life and the grave. He has given His Holy Spirit by which we are sealed so we may know that our salvation is secure. These are the great blessings that God bestows upon every believer and should overshadow all the temporal blessings of this life no matter how great they are. These spiritual blessings can be, and should be, a wealth of joy, comfort and peace daily in our lives. Be encouraged!
