"...My grace is sufficient for you..."
-2 Corinthians 12:9
Ryle writes, "…we must never despair of anyone's salvation merely because he lives in a position unfavorable to his soul. Grace is stronger than circumstances." You know that "by grace you have been saved through faith…" If the Lord poured out His grace upon you while you were still in your sin, how much more will His grace be sufficient for you now that you belong to Him? Presently, your circumstances may be unfavorable. There may be anxiety, disappointment, failure and temptation all around. Outwardly, you want to pretend all is well, but you know it is not. You feel alone with no one to help and no one who cares. But there is One. One who offers a fresh supply of grace every day. One who at this very moment, by grace, offers strength in temptation, clearness in conscience and peace in heart and mind. It is the One who came to the cross for you, "full of grace and truth." Be encouraged!
