encouragement side3

"The lips of the righteous bring forth what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted."

- Proverbs 10:32

We live in a world of tweets. The evening news usually begins by presenting the latest political tweet. One local television station even has a segment devoted to presenting various tweets sent in by its viewers. In this day of technology, tweets have become a common way of expressing oneself. They have no restrictions so people can say what they want. In the political arena, they are usually very critical and negative. Even those sent to the local television station are normally complaints or either crude or condemning remarks. Once again, believers have the opportunity to be salt and light to an “in your face” world. In Scripture, we are exhorted to “let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, that it may give grace to those who hear”. When speaking to the lost, you are to “let your speech always be with grace…” Gracious words can point both the saved and the lost to the grace of God found in Jesus Christ. When it comes to your mouth, text or tweet, be different, be gracious. And be encouraged!
