"O Death, Where Is Your Victory? O Death, Where Is Your Sting?"

-1 Corinthians 15:55

When there was nothing but life, God spoke of death. When death came to all, God spoke of life. First, it was eat and you shall surely die. Then it was believe and you shall live. Man lost life by believing in the devil. He regained life by believing in the Son. Were it not for sin, death would have no beginning. Were it not for death, sin would have no end. Christ died to bring an end to sin. We die to self as Christ lives within. In sin, there is the death of the soul. In Christ, there is eternal life. The soul that sins it shall die. Sin is always a message of death. The gospel is always a message of life. The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. When the law was first given, 3,000 people died. When the gospel was first preached, 3,000 people found life. Sin is a passing pleasure. Godly living brings suffering. Suffering is better than the smallest of sins. Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more. The Lord is long-suffering. “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness...” Be encouraged!
