“For the eyes of the Lord are in every place, watching the evil and the good.”
-Proverbs 15:3
While in Siberia, we visited a memorial erected in honor of 22 Siberian pastors who were murdered on October 29, 1937. Under the orders of Josef Stalin, the Russian Militia marched these pastors into the forest and made them dig a large hole, then executed and buried them in the freshly dug mass grave. This mass murder might have gone unnoticed, except that a woman walking through the forest, hiding in fear, witnessed all that took place. Today, with security and cell phone cameras, one would think that those who desire to do evil would know they are likely being watched. They are being watched! "The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From His dwelling–place He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth". As believers, we are to "abstain from every form of evil" because He has promised, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you." Be encouraged!
