"And many more believed because of His word."

The Lord walked among the Jews for over three years performing many miracles, but only a relative few of them believed. The Samaritans had only two days with the Lord, and although He did not perform any miracles, many believed. Do you wonder why? Seeking for signs, the Jews rejected the truth and stoned the prophets. Referring to the Jews by parable, the Lord said, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.” On the other hand, the Samaritans not seeing one miracle were “born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God.” That simple truth forever settled in the Word of God, is still “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” So be encouraged to share the Gospel!
