"There came a woman of Samaria"
-John 4:7
As believers, living in a time when there is a growing tolerance and insensitivity toward evil, it becomes easier to despise those who live in or flaunt their sin. However, when the Lord met a very immoral woman at Jacob's well, He did not despise her but instead offered her living water springing up to eternal life. What a great lesson for us living in a world of moral decadence. Undoubtedly, we all have people in our life who have succumbed to the darkness of this world. Do we consider them beyond the saving grace of God? Or, with the heart of God, are we "not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance"? So be encouraged. Our own salvation proves that God's hand is not too short to save any and all who come to Him.
Amazing grace!
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
