"...Thy lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting..."

- Psalm 138:8

We live in the day foretold when “men will be lovers of self, lovers of money,… lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” Jesus warned that lawlessness will increase and “most people’s love will grow cold.” However, the love of the Lord for you and me will never change. There is nothing that is “able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Even when we fail Him, “the Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail.” When we have a bad day, “the lovingkindness of God endures all day long.” If I “should say, my foot has slipped, Thy lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up.” When I pray the Lord will “hear my voice according to His lovingkindness.” Even when life seems so uncertain and opposition to our faith increases, though the “mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, … My lovingkndness will not be removed from you… says the Lord who has compassion on you.” Indeed, “His love is everlasting.” Be encouraged!
