How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another, and do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?

- John 5:44

I once read an article written from an evolutionary point of view that said, "You can be good without God". The author championed a "human-generated morality" as a more reasonable approach to life. As always, in implying God Himself is immoral, the author failed to understand the absolute holiness of God and man's own desperate moral depravity. While accusing believers of a pick and choose theology, he chose to ignore some simple biblical truths: that 1) only God is good, 2) compared to God no one is good and 3) all are sinners before God. His approach has been followed by multitudes, both religious and non-religious who fail to see they fall short of the glory (perfect standard) of God, embracing instead, a man-pleasing self-glory of so called human goodness. But be encouraged. "He made Him (Christ Jesus) who know no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him". Now that is really good!
