And they who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” But He said, “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”

- Luke 18:26

When Paul was called to Europe to preach the gospel, he found people of all walks of life responding to the gospel. The first converts were a successful Asian business woman, a demonized Greek slave girl and an average Roman citizen. One believed in God but still needed to be saved. One was of the occult. The other was probably an emperor worshipper or idolater. We often cross paths with such people ourselves. Paul, believing the “gospel is the power of God unto salvation” and that God “desires all men to be saved”, saw salvation as did the Lord, for “whosoever will.” I am sure you are acquainted with people who are successful in their careers, are blinded by the god of this world or have something or someone in their life more important than God. You may ask the question, “how can these people who most often seem so indifferent to the gospel be saved?” The two thousand year history of the church is proof enough that when it comes to saving a sinner, “with God all things are possible”. Be encouraged!
