“You have lived luxuriously on the earth...”

-James 5:5

As Americans, we have lived in the most prosperous nation on earth. However, that may all change. The national debt is staggering and seems not to be an issue in much of the political world. Many economists say that runaway inflation is now a worldwide fear. Both threaten the standard of living to which we are accustomed and the nation's economic stability. How can we prepare ourselves both spiritually and financially? First, Jesus tells us not to be anxious about our basic needs but trust God to provide for us. Secondly, put away savings during the good years in preparation for the difficult years. Third, do not be enslaved by personal debt. Most importantly, store up treasure in heaven by investing in the Lord's work, the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Follow the counsel of Scripture. Be encouraged!
