encouragement side

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."

-John 15:11

There are two types of joy—conditional joy, experienced by all men based upon one's circumstances. For example, it would be the joy of Caeleb Dressel winning five gold medals recently at the Tokyo Olympics. But then there is an unconditional joy given by the grace of God to all who believe. This joy is not based upon winning or any other circumstances. The source of this joy is our unchanging God and His unconditional promises. It is "God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy." The joy that God gives us we cannot muster up or make it happen. All the hype and entertainment in the world cannot make it happen. Riches, possessions, great popularity and influence cannot make it happen. This true joy comes solely from God, for "Thou hast put gladness in my heart." "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!” Yes, always. Be encouraged!
