"Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is too high, I cannot attain to it."
- Psalm 139:6
We can know what God has revealed but we cannot know all because God has not revealed all. We cannot understand “the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension” or “the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge” or for our future, “all that God has prepared for those who love Him.” “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!” Like the psalmist, we should humble ourselves and admit, with our knowledge, we cannot attain to the level of God. But at the same time, isn’t it amazing we can know God’s peace, even though we live at a time when there are many reasons for worry and anxiety? Isn’t it amazing that once being separated from God’s love, and the very enemies of God, we now know no one loves us like Jesus? Isn’t it amazing, although we deserve condemnation and hell, as believers, we know we have a place “reserved in heaven” for us? Yes, God in His wisdom did not tell us all, but He revealed all that we need to know Him, glorify Him, worship Him, obey Him, live for Him and proclaim Him. Be encouraged!
