"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."
- Philippians 3:20
Why do we long so much for the things of this world? Why do we spend so much time and money on the temporal? Our hope is not in this present world, the economy or the coming election. Our hope is in the coming of our Lord! Our hope is to be taken to heaven, to be in perfect oneness with Him and to always be with Him. It is to be with Him when He returns in glory, making our enemies His footstool, and to rule and reign with Him in His kingdom for a thousand years. Our hope is to be like Him in resurrection, having a glorified body like His and no more struggle with worry and sin. Our hope is the presence of Christ dwelling among us, wiping away every tear and putting an end to death, mourning, crying and pain. Nothing in this world can give us what Christ will give us. Our hope, right now, is in heaven. “Amen, come Lord, Jesus.” Be encouraged!
