"Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem..."
-Matthew 2:11
Over six hundred years before the birth of our Lord, the Prophet Micah foretold that He would be born in Bethlehem. As always, God was faithful. God is always faithful to His Word because "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" So, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, may we be reminded that every promise God has made to us will be fulfilled. The promises of forgiveness, eternal life, a home in heaven in His presence, no more tears, pain, or death will be fully realized, without exception, for the one who believes. Yes, "in the world, you have tribulation," but be encouraged. A great eternity, fully promised, lies ahead. Therefore, rejoice in the birth of your Savior!
