"Cast your burden upon the Lord, and He will sustain you..."

-Psalm 55:22

No matter what your station is in life, would you like to have a spring break? Would you just like to get away from it all? We all know the feeling. So did David when he said, "O that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest." Like David, we know the reality of disappointment, discouragement, and despair. He said, "I would hasten to my place of refuge..." Where would that be? Where can you find rest and peace from the storms of life? May we, like David, realize there is only one place to go. He said, "You are my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance.” A British soldier, Major John Andre, during the War of Independence was captured and executed as a spy. Before his death, he penned these words:

Hail, sovereign love that first began
The scheme to rescue fallen man!
Hail, matchless, free, eternal grace
That gave my soul a hiding place

Should storms of sevenfold Thunder roll,
and shake the globe from pole to pole;
No flaming bolt could daunt my face,
for Jesus is my hiding place

Need a break? Make Jesus your hiding place by “casting all your care upon Him; For He careth for you.” Be encouraged!
