"Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord."

- Philippians 3:1

No matter what is going on in your life and regardless of your circumstances, you can always rejoice in the Lord. The reason why is that unlike your circumstances, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.” The Lord never changes in His faithfulness to you. The Lord never changes in His desires for you to live a godly life and to make Him known to those who do not know Him as their Savior. In His sovereignty, the Lord will never change in the good work He began in you and “will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” He will never change in His purpose to conform you into His own image and glorify you. The Lord is always there for you even if the world, and specifically your world, is falling apart. Even in death you can rejoice because your faithful Savior will be waiting for you to join with Him forever. The focus of Christian joy is not upon you, what you have done or what you are doing. The focus of Christian joy is upon Christ your Savior, what He has done for you, what He is doing for you and what He will do for you. Be encouraged!
