"to obtain an inheritance... reserved in heaven for you."

-1 Peter 1: 4

U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen recently issued a warning that Congress must raise the debt ceiling so America can borrow more money to pay its bills. She said if America would default, every American would face catastrophic financial results with a complete financial loss of their savings and investments. It has happened in other countries, but few think it could happen here, even with record spending and debt. There is no such danger with God. With the One Who has declared, “For the world is Mine and all it contains," there are no overdue accounts, no shortages, and no need to borrow anything. He can promise every believer that there is “an inheritance that is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.” This is why Jesus said, “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.” Not even the hackers with all the advanced technology can reach it there. Everything you have in heaven is guaranteed to be safe. In a day of so much insecurity, what a blessing to be completely secure in the things of the Lord. Be encouraged!
