"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”

-2 Corinthians 2:14-15

We seldom purchase peaches when we go to the store because, too often, they are hard, tasteless, and odorless. Recently, when we entered the produce area of a store, there was a sweet aroma of fresh peaches. When we got them home, they were soft and full of flavor, but it was their aroma that caught our attention. So it is in the Christian life when we have saving faith in Christ, and the Gospel and the knowledge of God become the centerpiece of our lives. First and foremost, we are a "fragrance of Christ to God" but also a "sweet aroma" to those who are getting saved, and we even get the attention of those who are perishing as they reject the gospel and the knowledge of Him. When you, by faith, share the Word and the Gospel, it will either soften or harden someone's heart toward God. Does your life carry the “sweet aroma” of the gospel of Christ? Do not underestimate the influence that God has given you in the lives of others. Be encouraged!
