According to the Associated Press (9-6-19), Drew Brees came under criticism for a brief clip encouraging students to bring their Bibles to school in association with Focus on the Family. The criticism came from a group who not only wants the openness to practice what the Bible calls sin but also the power to condemn those who do not accept them. Their empowerment comes from the liberal media and the so-called politically correct. If the Lord tarries, we may come to the place where Christianity in America, like the church of Philadelphia in Revelation Three, has little power or influence. This may be the result of not only moral perversion’s opposition to biblical truth but a growing tolerance of unbiblical lifestyles found in “milk toast Christianity.” Freedom of speech and religion may be waning in America, but as then, the Lord always has His faithful remnant. By the power of the Holy Spirit and the Christ Who lives within, we will always be able to keep His word and never deny His name. Be encouraged!
