"But the prayer of the upright is His delight."

-Proverbs 15:8

It is amazing that the living God who created the heavens and earth, who is Himself righteous and upright, delights in our prayers. I have always encouraged believers to witness and share the gospel, but too often, the response is, 'I do not feel worthy to witness.' Some feel the same way when it comes to feeling worthy in prayer. Yes, we all sin, and in that sense, we could say we are unworthy to come before God. However, through faith, we have been justified, and we now stand before God as if we have never sinned. You can come before Him as upright because, through His grace and mercy by the blood of Christ, He has made you upright. As such, you can come daily to the throne of grace with all that is on your heart. As one made upright by God you can come daily to Him with any need- the need of forgiveness, for wisdom and guidance, to make specific requests, to ask for the salvation of those without Christ or to just give praise unto Him. The God who delights in your prayers will not turn away or give you any indication, 'You do not belong here!' As God delights in your prayers you can delight in praying. Be encouraged!
