"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?"
-Romans 8:35
We read in Nehemiah that, “Thou art a God of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate ... The Psalmist wrote, for Thou Lord, art good, and ready to forgive and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon Thee!” “Through the infinite merits of Christ reckoned to the believer, God declares the sinner just, adorns him with glorious righteousness, takes him fully into favor, sees neither iniquity nor perverseness in him... And deals with him to all the ends and purposes of eternal life as tenderly and lovingly as if he had never sinned. All which could be supposed to be charged against him has been forgiven. The only competent judge in the case pronounces him absolved from all things justly charged against him.” Plumer perhaps said it best, “It is easy to fall into excess in the desire and pursuit of earthly things. But no man ever loves Christ too much…” Since there is nothing that can diminish or destroy the love of Christ for us, let us not allow anything to diminish or destroy our love for Him. Be encouraged!
