encouragement Christmas

"For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

- 1 Timothy 2:5

Recently, I read about an ordained pastor who while speaking at a conference, disputed the Genesis account of creation. First, he said that Eve was created before Adam and that it is biologically impossible for the male to come first. Then he claimed the creation not only involved female and male but that, “Natures’ intention really is to produce a three.” He said, “eighty percent of people are somewhere in between.” The pastor said, “I think Jesus probably was a true three…” People may believe such blasphemous words but someday they will stand before the One who said, “He which made them at the beginning made them male and female.” The Bible certainly does not teach us that God became a three but that God became a man - the man Christ Jesus. We who believe the Bible know that Jesus with his birth in Bethlehem became the God-man. He had to be God to be the perfect sacrifice for our sin. He had to be man to die and shed His blood for our sin. This is the very reason for the incarnation of Jesus Christ. This is the very reason we celebrate the birth of Christ. “Because there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ, the Lord.” Be encouraged!
