"...Praise the Lord!"

- Psalm 146:10

As we begin a new year and reflect back upon the previous year, we see times of faithfulness and times of failure. Ecclesiastes 7:20 sums it up this way, “Indeed, there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and never sins.” Yes, as Christians we still sin, but we do not have to carry the burden and guilt of our sin into the next year. New Year’s resolutions are not the answer but being honest about our sin before the Lord is. If we confess, He forgives, and “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed out transgressions from us.” You see, this is part of the “…good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people…” With the salvation that comes by faith in Jesus Christ, every day can be a new day and every year can be a new year. Praise the Lord! Be encouraged!
