"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free"

Today, it seems truth is hard to come by. It should not surprise us that national leaders lie, news anchors lie, politicians lie and the average person lies. After all, the Scripture states, "…let God be found true, though every man be found a liar…" So where do we go for truth, absolute truth, that we can trust with our heart, mind and soul? There are three great sources of truth on which we can always trust and count. The first is Jesus, for He is “… the way, and the truth, and the life…” Then, there is the Word of God for “… Thy Word is truth.” And finally, there is the Holy Spirit because “…when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth…”. God is the only source of truth, and all that claims to be truth today is not God’s truth. The truth that comes from Christ, His Word and the Holy Spirit is the truth we can know, believe and live our lives by. It is the only truth that will set us free. Be encouraged!
