My God, my God why hast Thou forsaken Me?

- Psalm 22:1

David prophesied the very words of Jesus Christ on the cross 900 years before His crucifixion. In this Psalm David gave a vivid and detailed description of death on a cross even though it was not a means of execution at the time. In 31 BC, we have the formal beginning of the Roman Empire whose government would perfect the cruel death of crucifixion on a cross. In 6 AD, Judea would become a province of the Roman Empire which allowed under Roman law for crucifixions to be carried out In Judea. God, with perfect timing, made it possible for Psalm 22 to be fulfilled just a few years before the crucifixion of Christ. You see, God was in control of human history then just as He is now. There is not one situation in the world including Russia in the Ukraine, Isis in Syria and Iraq or Brexit, which is beyond the reach of the mighty hand of God. There is nothing in America, including the results of the 2016 presidential election, that is beyond the reach of the mighty hand of God. Jesus, the Alpha and Omega, the cause and finality of human history, works all things according to His plan. Be encouraged!
