"...He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."

We may be saved and on our way to heaven but God is not content in just saving you as if it were a past experience alone. All three members of the Trinity are actively involved in our personal lives every day. The Lord Jesus Christ lives in our hearts by faith so that He may live out His life in our lives. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and has many ministries in our life including sealing us for the day of redemption. The Father is at work in us both to will and to work for His good pleasure. So for that reason, God in His sovereignty often allows difficulties in our lives, not that we should seek some human answers or solutions, but to remove our self-reliance and self-confidence so we may grow in our faith and dependence upon Him. We may get discouraged in our Christian life and feel like giving up, but God will never give up on you. What He started in saving you He will perfect until the day of Christ Jesus. Be encouraged!
