encouragement side

"Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves."

-Romans 15:1

Some believers are strong in their faith and in the Lord, while others are weak. Many are easily discouraged and can even live in fear of facing difficult situations. Some have no courage to speak up for Christ and the Gospel in this world. Others easily yield to temptation and often live defeated lives. To be "rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation" can be foreign to them. As the Lord never gives up on those who belong to Him, neither should we. When the disciples were weak and afraid, He said to them. "Take courage, it is I; be not afraid." Rather than criticizing and condemning the weak, it should be the opportunity to show forth Christlikeness in our own lives. We need to "encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men." Today, look for the joy and privilege of pointing a fellow believer to the hope, peace and sufficiency found only in Christ. Be strong. Be encouraged!
