"Turn to Me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other."
-Isaiah 45:22
It is the Christmas season. How can we not be encouraged? Into this “present evil age” came the “Savior of the world.” Christ came to die “for our sins according to the Scripture.” Out of God's great love for mankind, Christ was sent into this world because “all have sinned.” Since the “all have sinned” includes you and me, that is something to celebrate! No matter who you are or what you have done, you can be a part of this celebration. For the Scripture says, "Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Have you called upon the Lord? Have you turned to Christ in faith and trusted Him alone to take away your sin? If not, what are you waiting for? "Behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation." Just before the coming of Christ, there will be multitudes in this world who will "not repent, so as to give Him glory." In reality, they will have nothing to celebrate as they remain in their sin. But for you, if you have turned to Christ in saving faith, you have every reason to celebrate. Be encouraged!
