"If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most to be pitied."

-1 Corinthians 15:19

Bruce Springsteen was asked, “Do you think our dreams are the forerunner of life on the other side, when we will be reunited with those we knew here?” He answered, “It's a nice idea. I wouldn't count on it.” How sad to have all that the world has to offer but no hope for the life to come. No, we cannot count on seeing everyone we knew in this life in heaven. In most cases, not all of one's family, friends, or acquaintances will come to Christ. But what about those who do? Will we be united with them in glory, or is it just a dream? The Scripture is clear, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, thus we shall always be with the Lord.” What a great reunion when we are united with family, friends and others who place their faith in the Savior in this life. Therefore, we should pray and witness now to our family, friends, and others, trusting the Lord to convict them of their sin and their need for the Savior. Ahead lies a grand and glorious reunion. We can count on it! Be encouraged!
