"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might."
-Ephesians 6:10
With the growing acceptance of perversion today, often we hear even the Christian say, “Well, that’s their business as long as it doesn’t affect me.” Did not Adam and Eve’s sin affect everyone since? Is the proper response in a nation that aborts 60 million unborn, “Well, that’s their choice”? Can a nation taunt God with immorality and perversion without having an impact on both the righteous and the unrighteous? Daniel was upright and obedient but spent 70 years in captivity due to the sin of the nation. There were believers and churches in Jerusalem when it was destroyed in 70 AD because of the national sin of rejecting Christ. Until the Lord gathers us together with Him, we are not immune from His dealings among the nations. But apathy and indifference are not the antidotes for a nation’s sin. We must stand strong in the Lord. In the strength of His might, we must have the boldness to call sin, sin. We must not be ashamed of the gospel. Only then will we be "a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing." Be strong in the Lord and be encouraged!
