Don’t you love this verse? There are two things we should cherish here. First, anyone, without exception, who comes to Christ by faith will not be turned away. No matter what the sin, how great the sin or how long in sin, Christ will take you in. Secondly, as a believer, when you come to Him, even though there will be times of weakness, lack of faith and sin, He will never cast you aside. By coming to Christ we “take hold of eternal life” and we “shall never perish”. How comforting it is to know that the One who holds “the keys of death and of Hades” will never cast us aside! In the words of the hymn writer, “Hallelujah! What a Savior! Hallelujah! What a Friend! Saving, helping, keeping, loving, He is with me to the end.” Be encouraged!
