"...and lo, I am with you always , even to the end of the age."
- Matthew 28:20
When the Apostle Paul arrived in Corinth, he found the temple of the Sun god, Apollo, for the people there were worshippers of the creation. He also found the temple of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and fertility, as the immoral behavior of the Corinthians had few, if any, limitations. Paul would be right at home as a missionary here in America. He would know exactly what to say to those who have made political correctness and environmentalism their religion. He would know what to declare to those who worship the body rather than the One who created it and to those who have made America a permissive and promiscuous culture. Paul said of the Corinthians, “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” He knew then as we should know now, that God has only one answer for those who labor for the wages of sin. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. What would the Lord say to you and me today, living in a Corinthians culture? He would say the same thing He said to Paul; “Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent; for I am with you…” Yes, even unto the end of the age. Be encouraged!
