"Therefore encourage one another…"

-1 Thessalonians 5:11

Recently, we were in Cherokee, North Carolina, where we were given the opportunity to proclaim the Word and present our ministry on the Cherokee Nation. The Bible tells us that the eternal gospel is for "those who live on earth and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people." There are 574 federally recognized Indian tribes in America. Although we were on the Cherokee Reservation, those representing the Apache, Choctaw, and Navajo tribes were also present. According to the latest census, the number of people who claim Indian status has increased from 3.2 million in 2010 to 6.4 million in 2020. As the tribal populations increase, may our zeal and opportunity to share the gospel with them increase. It is believed that less than 10% of the Native people have come to Christ for salvation. Many hold to their traditional creation worship or have embraced some aberrant form of Christianity. However, we are encouraged by the opportunity to share the gospel among the Navajos at the Navajo Nation Fair this September. Knowing that God "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth,” may you be encouraged with us!
