"...Open your mouth wide and I will fill it."

In Scripture, the Lord wants to fill us with joy, peace, the knowledge of His will, the fruit of righteousness and the Holy Spirit. To do so we must “like newborn babes long for the pure milk of the word.” However, we are told that “many churches are poor in health because they feed on junk food, artificial preservatives and unnatural substitutes, instead of the milk and meat of the word.” Hudson Taylor once said, the hardest part of being a missionary was to maintain regular prayerful Bible study and that Satan will always find something else for you to do. He will also fill you up with self-satisfaction so you see no need to hunger for what God wants for you. It is by coming to His word that our faith is built up so we hunger for and trust Him alone to satisfy our thirsty souls. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Be encouraged!
