"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."

We have so much for which to be thankful. First and foremost, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gave Himself for our sins. At the very moment, we receive Him by faith we become a part of the family of God. For we read, “See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are.” And “the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” We can truly sing, “I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God.” What a blessing to be in church on Sunday and to have the joy of gathering with God’s people. Some of God’s family is already in heaven and some scattered all across the earth. But in the end it makes no difference where we lived or died as the Lord Himself will gather every member of His family – none missing – into the presence of His glory. So much to be thankful for. Be encouraged!
