In Chanute, Kansas, one disgruntled person forced the removal of a picture of Jesus at the entrance of the Royster Middle School, which had been placed there in 1956 as a memorial to a fourteen-year-old student who collapsed and died in the school’s gymnasium. Although the town of over nine thousand and its thirty churches wanted the picture to remain, the actions of just one brought it down. Satan only needed one person to bring sin and death to this world. He needed only one to introduce the world to jealousy, hatred and murder. He needed only one to betray the Lord of glory. He needed only one to give birth to the false religions of Mormonism, Christian Science and many more. He needed only one to start a movement that would result in the slaughter of the unborn. But, we need only One “to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one.” We need only One to “overwhelmingly conquer” all that the world can throw at us. And we “know that this One is indeed the Savior of the World.” “For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name.” Be encouraged!
