"The hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast..."
-Hebrews 6:19
Change in life is inevitable. It may be as simple as the weather or as serious as our health. Change prevails in the Christian life as we grow in our knowledge of the Lord and our relationship with Jesus Christ. Some days, we are downtrodden, weak in our faith, and focus solely on the temporal. On other days, we draw close to the Lord, and He warms our hearts, strengthens our faith, and increases our hope. Regardless of your ups and downs, you have "an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved for you in heaven." We are blessed to know that our future holds peace in the hour of death, rest on the other side of the grave, a glorious body on the morning of the resurrection, full acquittal on the day of judgment, rewards in the Kingdom of Christ, joy at the gathering of God's people and the Lord in our midst for all eternity. So do not let this sinful world, corrupt to the core, get you down. Neither should your own failings and opposition from others. There will be many life changes, but your future is sealed in the promises of God. Your future is glorious. Be encouraged!
