"...born again to a living hope..."
-1 Peter 1:3
When we place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, God places in our heart a living hope, "for in hope we have been saved." Faith centers on Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross. Hope looks ahead to what He will do in the future. Faith accepts, and hope expects. Saving faith and true hope are inseparable because we read in Scripture, "Christ in you the hope of glory." Your circumstances may not be the best, and the world is a mess, but are you "looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus"? You see, this "hope does not disappoint." This hope, given to you in salvation, is sufficient in this life, in death and for all eternity. Yes, your Savior, who gave you this hope, will come again. So, "straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Be encouraged!
