"But I, O Lord, have cried out to Thee for help. And in the morning my prayer comes before Thee."

- Psalm 88:13

Since last November, we have had reports of people overcome with anxiety due to the outcome of the election. Apparently, they do not believe or understand the sovereignty of God. And the secular world has made various attempts to come to their rescue. The psychologists offer secular counsel, the medical profession offers pills, the universities offer time off from class and play dough rooms, and educators offer therapy puppies and safe zones. But as for us, the Scriptures are our counselors and the Great Physician meets our spiritual needs. We do not need time off or time outs because we “pray without ceasing”. We do not need play dough rooms or safe zones because we all have a prayer closet. We are to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” In my trouble I cried out to the Lord, and He answered me.” Be encouraged!
