"Serve the Lord with gladness..."

- Psalm 100:2

The summer months have passed, the kids are back in school, and it will not be long until we enter another year. Perhaps you are at a point where you need some encouragement to finish the year faithfully. We tend to focus upon our difficulties and trials in life rather than the end result of being faithful to the Lord and serving Him with gladness. C.T. Studd express it this way:

Only one life, yes only one,
Now let me say, “Thy will be done”;
And when at last I’ll hear the call.
I know I’ll say “twas worth it all”;
Only one life, ‘twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.

Perhaps we should say, “Only one year, twill soon be past." So may I encourage you through the words of Scripture to "be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” Yes! Be encouraged!
