There are lots of events happening at Field to Fabric during the month of June. We will be closed Memorial Day. Please remember all those who make our freedoms in the USA possible. The Friday Art Walk, our first ever Semi-Annual Clearance Sale, various fun classes, Row by Row....details about each of these is found below. And...we are now carrying several supplies and items for your Featherweight! Come in and check it out!
We also have Thermal Finger Guards to protect your fingers when ironing your piecing or binding. They are fabulous! Need some pressing tips? Click here for tips to make your blocks and quilt top lay flatter.
And, remember, there is always new fabric to drool over. Come in for some fiber therapy.
Keep on quilting when it's too hot to be outside or when it's raining (farm families have been thankful for the latest rains). Come in and say hi when you are out and about. Be sure to show us your projects. We love to see what you have been working on!

Carolie Pendants

Wearable egg art

Friday Art Walk

Carolie Ray Ediger, Batik Egg Artist, will be featured at Field to Fabric Quilt Co., 907 Main Street in Winfield on Friday, June 1 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Carolie was in 6th grade growing up on a chicken farm when an aunt sent her a pysanky (Ukrainian Eggs) kit one Easter. For her, that gift launched a decades-long fascination with the egg art. This ancient art form uses a wax resist process with multiple dyes; they are not painted eggs. The simple egg becomes a work of art by using timeless geometric patterns and delicate fine lines evoking the intricate beauty found in nature. She has begun to create fine pieces of wearable art from these eggs and will feature pendants and earrings alongside the eggs. Come to the Art Walk so you can meet and visit with the artist about this age-old craft.
