"...the Name which is above every name."

- Philippians 2:9

The Scripture gives many names and titles to our Lord Jesus Christ but the name given Him which is above all other names is Jesus. But as Christ, He is the promised Messiah of Israel. As Lord, He is the sovereign God over all His creation. But as Jesus, He is the Savior who died for the sins of the world. The starting point of becoming a Christian and the one thing God wants one to know above all else is that Jesus is the Savior. This month at the 106th Northern Navajo Nation Fair, over one thousand Navajos came to our evangelism booth. We were able to share the gospel with many and all were given a tract with the encouragement to read and consider what it said. Our prayer for them is that like the Samaritans, they may “know that this One is indeed the Savior of the world.” When the gospel is proclaimed and the Holy Spirit convicts one that he is a sinner in need of salvation, it is then He will turn in faith to Jesus as Savior. Every believer should find great joy in making the name of Jesus known to those who, whether they know it or not, are in need of salvation. For we “bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.” Be encouraged!
