An Invitation to Pause
Pausing is not just a moment of stillness; it is a tool for clarity, creativity, and emotional balance. Whether in daily life, decision-making, or personal growth, pausing can transform ordinary moments into meaningful experiences.
Pausing allows us to reflect, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. It helps us connect with all three centers of intelligence, as is invited in the meme to the right.
Jean Mejia recently shared a Facebook post that stated, "When we pause, breathe, and create a little space, something beautiful happens. We can acknowledge another person’s feelings without making them the whole truth. We can honor our own experience without insisting it’s the only valid one.
That space is where grace lives. Grace for ourselves. Grace for others. Grace to recognize we’re all looking through different windows at the same landscape.
And perhaps wisdom isn’t about having the right perspective—perhaps it’s about remembering that every perspective is incomplete until love, curiosity, and humility enter the conversation."
Through the sacred art of pausing, we develop the capacity to trust our natural intelligence and be open to whatever arises.
I created the little "Pause" meme shared in 2021; its questions are as powerful today as they were back then, and perhaps more important today than back in 2021.
Want to go deeper with your pause-ing? Here are a few prompts, inspired by Stephanie Spencer, to support you in choosing where to put your attention:
▪ What am I spending time and attention on that doesn't align with my values, nor support my purpose or a meaningful life?
▪ What would I gain by making this moment or hour or day simpler?
▪ What am I not hearing and missing because I haven't paused long enough to listen?

CYWY offers opportunities to explore “seeing” yourself — what you need, what choices are available, and how those choices can open pathways to transformation that support your growth.
The question for you right now is:
Which event will you choose this week?
